Ikebana Classes and Workshops:

What types of Ikebana classes do you offer?

I offer a variety of Ikebana classes, including weekly classes, workshops, and sequential courses. My classes are designed for beginners and experienced students alike, covering traditional and modern Ikebana techniques.

How do I sign up for an Ikebana class or workshop?

You can register through the registration page links provided in each workshop information section on my website, or by contacting me directly via email or social media. For private or group sessions, please reach out in advance to discuss scheduling and availability.

Do I need to bring my own materials for the class?

For most workshops, all materials are included. However, for sequential classes, I will guide you on what to purchase so you can build your own Ikebana toolkit and continue practicing at home.

Can I book a private Ikebana workshop for a group or special event?

Yes! I offer private workshops for small groups, corporate events, or special occasions. Whether it’s a team-building event, birthday celebrations, bridal showers, or a gathering of friends, I can tailor the experience to your needs. Please contact me in advance to discuss details and availability.

Do you offer ongoing Ikebana lessons for long-term learning?

Yes, I offer sequential classes designed for students who want to deepen their Ikebana practice over time. These lessons build on techniques and artistic principles, allowing for personal growth and mastery.

What is Ikebana and how is it different from Western flower arranging?

Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging, emphasizing simplicity, balance, and harmony with nature. Unlike Western styles that often focus on volume and color, Ikebana highlights line, space, and seasonal beauty with a minimalist and thoughtful approach.

Do I need any prior experience to join a class or workshop?

No prior experience is needed! All levels are welcome — from complete beginners to experienced flower enthusiasts. Each class is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow creatively and skillfully.

Can I purchase Ikebana tools and supplies from you?

Yes! I offer carefully selected Ikebana tools such as kenzan (needlepoint holders, pin frog), vases, and scissors for purchase. These are available during classes or by request if you'd like to build your own home practice kit.

Can I gift an Ikebana class or workshop to someone?

Absolutely! An Ikebana class makes a thoughtful and unique gift. Gift certificates are available and can be customized for workshops, private lessons, or sequential classes. Please contact me to arrange a special gift for someone you care about.

What should I wear to a class or workshop?

I recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and that you don't mind getting a little water or floral material on. Aprons are optional but welcome if you'd like extra protection.
